An older sign that appears to reference a direct route to Eagle Cliff which is no longer maintained. Currently the only official trail to Eagle Cliff is accessed from the Pelican Beach trail.

So apparently the cove just south of Eagle Cliff is Smugglers Cove (not marked on my Navionics chart)
