I built this bracket from 1/4" plywood and angle aluminum. It is hooked into the aux jack of our stereo system. Great sound!
DVD player is small and super lightweight.
Bottom view of the mount. I through bolted it with stainless machine screws. The teak curtain board provides great support. I still have to find a longer power cord for the TV so all wires will be hidden, but it works ok for now.

I closed in the shelf with oak and added the stereo and weather instruments. Will upgrade to a new DSC radio later and cut it in on the right side.
