The big red rig, 1 ton diesel, perfect for the R25 Tug but overkill for a CD 25 but decent towing mileage (between 12 and 16 depending on the terrain) and will crest any pass at the speed limit (900 ft lbs of torque)and only need the exaust brake all the way down.(heavier duty trucks may have the same engine power as lighter dutys but have WAY more powerful brakes, and on this truck I have seen up to 90hp of exaust brake hold back and will hold us to under 60mph on the steepest downgrades with the CD25) also only the 1 ton comes with the Aisin trans that won't overheat when towing.

$I made a steel pipe cross bar that has 20\" steel straps that slide up into the trailers tubing, now the outboard brace has a solid place to sit on.$

This is a bronze cap I made with a hole saw over an old air conditioning thru-hull I removed, a very easy solution to covering the hole. It has a slightly larger square plate on the inside, the countersunk bolt is silicon bronze. Absolutely don't use brass!! Too much zinc in the alloy and it will suffer from "dezincafacation" in salt water.

$I fabricated an aluminum \"boom crutch\" so we can partially lower the 21\' high HF antenna so it will be more secure while motoring$

Just installed this ProMariner, ProSafe galvanic isolator which of course should have been my first project not one of the last as this harbor is eating my zincs. It separates the 110 shore power ground small voltage leaks from other boats in the harbor. You can also see the back of the watermaker Clark pump and its pressure feed pump.

New oil bath kodiak hubs instead of the old grease through spindle system, you can see the oil level, they should be much less maintenance and more reliable. I just ordered Lucas hub oil for my emergency trailer box just in case. My last trailer had a different system that was bulletproof this one is new and has mixed reviews on the rear seal so I have a complete spare set.
