Caleta Partida cove in Ensenada Partida bay is the only one of the half dozen anchorages in the islands 27 miles north of La Paz that has close to 100% wave direction protection. On our 3 day trip we had unsettled conditions with winds cloclocking around and from calm to 17 knots.

Sierra is in the background by far the smallest of the dozen boats in the anchorage, Dana was totally loving the looks and Portuguese bridge style of the big twin 800hp diesel Fleming 65 anchored outside of us! (Sorry no photo). The cheap Taiwan trawlers with the loud generators going all day drove us crazy. We are so used to the silence of our solar system.
A C-brat asked about Suzuki dealers in Mexico. There may be more than Yamaha down here, this is an authorized Suzuki dealer a block and a half from our marina. Unfortunately they are not familiar with our C-10 smart guage programming, I think they only sell the simple Suzuki gauge set here. Suzuki\'s are everywhere on the water down here, at home our closest authorized dealer is a couple hours drive away.
