Covers are raised and helm seat pivots up to use galley. Hot items can be placed on ceramic tiles under helm seat. Small drop-down shelf inside forward cover is made of starboard trimmed in teak. Snap on elastic bands are handy for holding essentials (spelled COFFEE press) when underway.

You can see the support / fingers for the starboard bed support mounted on the bulkhead.

Galley from cabin door. Sunbrella pocket snapped to back of helm seat holds kitchen untensils, cups, plates and other stuff. Helm seat can be hinged up to give access to substantilly more counter space covered with ceramic tile for hot items.
