Run 10-15 min with just enough pressure so the "pee" stream looks like it would with the engine running. Don't need to run the engines during this. Actually, should not run the engines, (according to the Yamaha mechanics).
Attach the "Y" to the rinse hose first, and then the OB ports.
Nice Yamaha feature, a wash down/engine rinse tap right on the side of the OB block.
