I love history on San Juan islands. This sad story is not unlike many others. I wonder if that cabin up at Duck Lake was hers.

Setting out for a day trip to Cypress for some hiking. Of course I could have just stayed the night at Doe Island, but NOAA was calling for SCA and 3-5 footers, so I made a run for it back to home port. Turned out to be a false alarm, so I'm heading back out!
