Looking at Eagle Cliff. There were 6 or 7 large birds soaring above. Not Eagles. Red heads. Turkey Vultures? 2 of them soared down to the beach to check me out, flew right over my head!

An older sign that appears to reference a direct route to Eagle Cliff which is no longer maintained. Currently the only official trail to Eagle Cliff is accessed from the Pelican Beach trail.

Setting out for a day trip to Cypress for some hiking. Of course I could have just stayed the night at Doe Island, but NOAA was calling for SCA and 3-5 footers, so I made a run for it back to home port. Turned out to be a false alarm, so I'm heading back out!
