I ended up not liking the clamps I had initially used to clamp the panel to the rack so I replaced them with these beefier ones. Much better.

Monitor is now in it's new location. I figured if I put it somewhere where I'd see all the time I'd get obsessed with watchinging it, so this seemed like a good place for it. We'll see how it works out. Having done that, this project is done!!

This was charge input earlier this morning when we had sun, which was roughly 70 degrees off axis from the panel. Should get somewhere around 7-9 amps input, on axis, and sunny.

This shows AMPs being used (toggle switch in down position). It's currently showing amps drawn while the fridge was running. This will get mounted in the cabin somewhere, once I figure out where.

Finished up the cabling/connectors where the panel will connect to the boat. The cables are extension cables going to the panel which is leaning up against the house. When the rack/solar-panel is mounted to the roof the cables directly from the panel will plug right in without the extensions. (I have to leave the rack off for my boat cover to fit). The velcro strain relief is screwed down under one of the bimini top snaps.

I've been running the fridge off the solar panel the past week with no issues. We even had 2 days in a row of clouds and rain and the battery never got below 12.32 resting voltage. And that was checking it first thing in the morning after running all night. I think this will work nicely.

Down to the 30amp Renolgy Charge controller. I didn't get the fancy pants MPPT controller because everything I read said unless you have 200+ watts coming in they're really not necessary.

The gland had some screw holes for mounting but not wanting to penetrate the cabin roof some 3M 5200 and funky clamping should do the trick.

Solar cable entry glad. Cable holes are drilled between the outside cabin wall and the roof overhang. NO penetration into the cabin.

I used these cool little quick release clamps I found on Amazon. They're actually bicycle handlebar clamps to mount a flashlight. This makes it easy to swap the panel to the roof rack on the truck when we want to go out boonie crashing.
