1. This "DREMEL" MULTI-MAX was very good at helping with the job. When using the 1-3/16" Flexable Scraper Blade Cat. No. MM610, it cut through old caulking like butter. I was careful and made no noticable scrapes in the gel coat. A little wipping up with a rag and some Lacquer Thinner and the gel coat was clean.

4. "DREMEL" 5/16" CARVING AND ENGRAVING 115. For a #8 to #12 screw, I drilled a 3/8" dia. hole with a twist drill through the gel coat and the top layer of fiberglass, down through the foam core till I touched the fiberglass on the other side of the foam core.

14. Can you see inside the Dremeled out hole? Past the 3/8" hole in the outside layer of fiberglass, you should be able to see how the inside of the hole is larger in order to hold more epoxy and seperate the fastener in epoxy from the core.
