Is there any place on a 25 with solid fiberglass to use an in-hull transducer? I would like to install a simple sounder for shallow depth alarm, and as a backup for the E80. My second option will be to mount the transducer on the starboard trim tab.

I don't think so. I put a Bronze through hull to the port side of the bilge pump. The trim tab sounds like a good option???
Have a good one. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

On the 22 the hull goes from cored to single skin ahead of the helm bulkhead. Not seen the 25 setup but check under the vee berth. You will see the core tapered down from double skin to single with a tapered transition area. On my 19 and 22 I used in hull pucks with good success.

You could always do what Redfox did and VERY CAREFULLY remove the inner fiberglass skin and the core, leaving the outer skin intact. That way you can put one in a convenient location.

I thought of that also.
If it's not too deep could fill the hole with resin.
