Yep....that time again and looking forward to seeing my C-Brats!!

ARGOSY LOCK & DAM CRUISE FOR SEATTLE BOAT SHOW C-BRAT GATHERING INFORMATION:
Things change each year. This is a great and fun event for about 3 hours on Friday afternoon prior to the Friday Night "Cover Dish" party at the hotel. I think about 30 folks made this last year.
No mention of discount for registering on line early. So, I called and talked with the fast talking young lady chewing gum in my ear indicating she had worked there for years.... and bottom line, we can get discounts for groups, but someone has to be the point person for this (and I am not volunteering for this...sounds like a job) ...and their POC was not there today.... She recommended we all go ahead and register now. I commented these tickest are non refundable, and mine were $62.50, and there was no insentive to lay out my money early...other than having it all done. Her response: Well...it might sell out. My response: Well, for the last 3-4 years it has been our group and about 10 other folks on board the boat and/or bus. I do not think so....
Bottom line: I registered on line and have it done. I look forward to joining any and all other C-Brats who have done this in years past and had a good time. Not sure I would not wait until a few days prior to make your reservations, and/or even waiting until the morning of the trip. You get a confirmation number on line immediately after hitting the pay button. Print it, take that number with you. I do not recall them being over proficient at processing folks that day...

My calendar says Jan 26 2008 is a Saturday -- your text indicates cruise is on Friday. Just checking as I am trying to avoid a conflicting trip to Boston.

BINGO! YOU GUYS GET AN EXTRA COOKIE TONIGHT!!
THANKS!!
That happens when ya drop down the month gizmo and do not drop down the year gizmo to 2008 from 2007.
CORRECT DATE/DAY FOR 2008.....drum roll please.....
is Friday, 25th....1pm.... at that dock time.
and as the text indicates, just prior to our Friday night social time at the hotel. I think we wrap up around 4pm which generally gives us a couple of hours to get back to the hotel before the fun starts again.

Argosy is now sending a pdf map of the down town area and their piers when you register on line. Neat map. I attempted to post it but can not figure out how to post a PDF file, and our photo albums will not allow it.
Any wanting it email me .... or someone that gets around this site better than me let me know how and/or I can send it to you...maybe.

Pat - I don't know if it is because I have Adobe Acrobat, but I can open a PDF file and save it as a JPG file. Open the PDF then click on File and see if you have a "Save as" option. If you don't, you can email it to me and I will email it back to you as a JPG file.

OK then! And Marty will be our escort on Lizzy! I am a bit torn whether to be on the Argosy or to join Marty as an escort boat!! _________________

Sounds good Pat....other than having to pay attention to where you are during the cruise.... and, I have already checked and SW airlines will not accept my CD18 as checked luggage. Aviators...not boaters!

Sounds like fun, but since we did the cruise last year, I'm going to take a trip up to Arlington instead. This will be the only chance I have to see the litter of pups and pick out the one I want.
The pups will be too young to show their personality, but at least I'll be able to see their markings.
Ya'll have fun now, ya hear. _________________ Roger

Boy, am I conflicted! Sally has GOT to get to the bead store wherever that is, I think it's about an hour away from the motel to the south, and I have GOT to get to the boat show and we've only got Friday and Saturday. We want to do these together and still go to the gathering on Friday night and the Factory DO on Saturday night.
Not sure we can do the Locks trip too

Can we get a headcount for the proposed lock cruise on Friday? Lori and I are planning to go as long as there is a good turnout. After the cruise we will go to the motel to check in.
Thanks. _________________ Doryman

Wonder of wonders! Sally got a big catalog from Shipwreck Beads and says she doesn't have to go to the store to spend money!
Count us in for the Locks Cruise. I'll look around and find out how to make the reservations for us! On Edit: OK, we're in, just made the reservation on line!!
