Hi Ash, don't despair. It's easy, even I can do it. When you open your album, you should see
[add photos] [add photo] [new nested album] [custom fields] [captions] [sort] [resize all] [rebuild thumbs] [properties] [permissions] [view all comments] [slideshow]
At the top. Just click on either <add photos> or <add photo>and it'll take you to a place where you can upload something stored on your computer or elsewhere on the net. It's only on your album that you will see this, only you (and the geniuses in charge of this site (Mike and Bill)) can change your album. Try it.

Will someone please explain how to do the little smiley faces and how about the nice big lettering that Pat and Roger use? I just clicked on the little "confused" smiley but do I do something else in order for it to show up?
Thanks,

You mean these guys??
They are over to the left of the message entry window - there are a whole bunch of Emoticons - all I do is click on them...It inserts some code in the window at the cursor location - words like "lol," "roll," "wink," and "crook," but surrounded by colons. Sometimes for reasons unknown this code gets inserted not where the cursor is but down at the bottom, and you then have to select and drag it up where you want it.
Font color ["colour"] and Font size are controlled by the settings in the boxes above the message window. Trick is, you need to type the text, select it and then apply the color and font...again, this inserts code in the text, this time in square brackets. The size one is something like "[size=18]" and this continues until you end it with the word "size" preceded by a front slash - "/size" - in square brackets. The color one is something like "[color=darkred]" and continues until you end it with the word "color" preceded by a front slash - /color - in square brackets.
Clear as mud, no??

Hi Brock/Carolyn - nice to hear from you too. Pic was of "Cutie" 16 ft C-Dory angler with an Idaho registration. Didn't get a chance to jaw with the owner/op though. I have the pic but don't know how to attach to a reply in here.
Cheers - Dave |

I'm on it, Sailor D! To imbed a photo in a message, it has to be located on the internet. You need to post it into your album first, and use the link to it between the [Img] tags.
So, the first thing you need is an album. That's the it that I'm on. If it works, you will find a hot link to it in the info to the left of your message posts. If it doesn't work, then you'll never hear from me again because I will swear off computers. Here goes - wish me luck!! _________________ TyBoo Mike

Hey - far out, Sailor-D. You already had an album, and there's even a picture in it. So all I had to do was link it to your user info. You're good to go. Keep practicing with the nerd stuff, because once you get it figured out, it is pretty easy. I think it could be easy from the get-go, but Bill likes to make things a little bit complicated so we all appreciate his talents and nerdacity.

Yeah - nerdacity. I do believe that was a major contributor to Da Nag's inability to get the cabin door all the way closed a while back. I might have spelled it wrong. |
