We know of one c-Dory in South Dakota - OURS . Just got our 25 in August.
We'll head out around Christmas and head for the warmth of Florida for 3 months. We'll be in the Keys so if anyone is heading that way, look us up at Mangrove Marina at Tavernier.

Capt. D. let me stand on my soap box and yell at the top of my lungs.....MARC'S THE MAN
and if he says your going fishn' , then you can take it to the bank.
With all that cold weather you are bringing south with you, I have decided to catch a ride on that big C-Dory "Magisty of the Seas" and head for the Bahamas this weekend.....I just hope the Gulf Scream warms up that North Wind. _________________ Mike Taylor

Ohhhh... Gulf Stream... north wind... stand on the top deck and look towards the east; if you see the waves look like "marching elephants", time to take some Dramamine.
Have fun, Mike; don't let Judy spend it all in the ship casino on the way over.
Best wishes,

Molly and Andy,
Glad to hear you have joined the club. Hope to meet up with you guys.
We are about to enter highway 10 in the morning . Should be in Panama City tomorrow. We did not bring cold fronts south. In fact it was 72 degrees in So Dak when we went through. Huh Molly?
This Alltell connection would not post for me last night. Hope it does now. The weather for traveling has been great. Except for the wind.
Who ever heard of a boat dealer with a fan club? Marc, are you pulling a Hillary?
See you guys shortly.

Honky Dory,
Do your best to be at Sanford durning the later part of the week. Other wise the stores will all be closed down town. They are closed for sure Mondays and most are closed on Tuesdays as well. The river walk is SO worth the trip ! I could see us living here easy just for that daily walk. So many nice families walking with kids, folks fishing at the edge of the water, and the huge swings to sit in and just enjoy the view. Have fun If you happen to go to Welaka say HI to Elvis for us ! He lives there you know ? Plus the wooden boats are too cool to pass up !

Tracy,
Honky Dory!? Is that an ethnic slur or a typo?
Thanks for the info. What is special before the end of the week in Sanford? We can't make that sheduel.
We past over into Florida Today at 12:35 PM, This day, November 17, 2007. That being an end to major conflicks on the highway all across the country. Course Florida could do do a guy in. ( That sound familiar? )
I'm am referring to those people that don't know what yield means as they enter the freeway. I have had people give me the finger because I did not move over when no one was ahead or behind me.
We held a survey an found 50 % do not know they could speed up just a little and get right in line..............Survey was just Dee and I.
I got the rig weighed in Louisiana
Total = 25,480
ft axle = 5100 (steer)
rear axle =11080 (Drive)
Ranger and trailer = 9300
Truck full of fuel and 40 gals of water
Boat fuel approx : 55 gal dingy on the dive plat.
Average fuel 8 MPG
In Panama City should leave on Monday or Tuesday for Wefing |

Actually, Honky Dory has some potential as a boat name for someone with the right sense of humor, IMHO!
Or how about Honky Tonk Woman, taken from the title of one of the Rolling Stones early songs?
It's always fun to go into some classy place with a nice sophisticated piano bar and, as a joke, ask the pianist if he can play Honky Tonk Woman for you!
Guess some of us are just twisted a bit!?!

The comment on being in Sanford before the end of the week probably referred to the fact that most of the shops in Sanford are closed on Monday's and some on Tuesday's every week. It is just cool enough here that the manatees are beginning to gather at Blue Springs park on the St. johns. It is located between Highbanks and Hontoon island. It is worth a stop to see them. It is beautiful out on the river now. I am headed back to my building project in Al. soon but if you get a chance give me a call and I will be glad to share thoughts on a few great places to stop on your way up the river.

LOL Sorry about the Misspelling.. of Hunky Dory. But your right it is an unusal name... lol Honky Dory I mean. Most of the stores are closed on Monday and Tuesday. If you plan to eat in town I suggest The Colonial Room . It was tasty and cheap. Very friendly folks in there too. Oh and the pies are to die for ! The river walk is the best part of Sanford in my mind. Course I love to find nice places to go walking. The Manatees were just coming around at Hontoon Island and across from park on the river. We saw 7 just hanging around the boats there across from Hontoon Park. Have a good time ! Wish we were still there , hugs..Tracy |

CPTD: Hold your own with your lanes. Once towing thru Atlanta in rush hour traffic times (not by choice) I found it more comfortable to get way over in the far left lane against the big concrete dividers. That way, they could only dart and swerve on 3 sides of me. Funny, I thought some bad chemical spill or something had occurred a few years earlier....many of them poor folks could only wave with one finger.
Enjoy your time in the South, and keep us posted on your travels.
