The signs in front of work just got blown down and the wind is really picking up. The power is out in spanaway already. everyone have their flash lights ready.

I lost the power about six am this morning and its almost five pm now.
My one cylinder diesel is doing a great job huffing and puffing at 650
rpm keeping the freezer cold. Laptop works good on batteries as well.
Power guy said before evening we would be back online. If I were on the
water I would be heading for a port quickly. Understand the Hood Canal
bridge shut down as well. Those Palm trees sound real good right now.

Ha...No ...I boogied out of Chester after the first snow.... Don't like the stuff... to hard to ride my motorcycle to the donut shop in the snow...
I am now in Southern Calif,..... Camarillo... where I can ride to the bagel shop in the morning and not even put a jacket on.....
I am kinda interested in one of those generators though..... once Sue retires we are going on the road with the boat.... and I don't want to run down the batteries.... probably one of those 1000 watt units will be enough for the 22... I don't have a refrigerator....but I plan on using the Wallas heater all night.... (in cold areas) and we run the lights some....

Looks like treacherous weather on the ocean Saturday -- 34' seas at 12 seconds -- not user friendly for a boater!
Looks like we'll be missing the first boat tow this weekend too...hauled that elk back from Baker just fine tho 
Don't tell Tyboo, but I bought a Dodge -- never thought I would've ever owned one, but it's great!

Didn't really notice much wind here when I got home from work, but I did notice right off that the kids' trampoline was upside down in the neighbor's yard. So either the wind blew a little or those folks next door are thievin' buggers.
But my palm tree is still standing and doesn't even look all that ragged yet.

I was out fly fishing yesterday and took this shot of the Mukilteo ferry.
 Just kidding! This is a picture from a local news web page. Just shows you how bad ol' Puget Sound can get in a bit of a wind.
No, C-Run was cozy in her boat house down at Steilacoom. Until the train derailed!
This is how close the boathouse is to the tracks.
This is the derailment that happened yesterday just a few hundred yards south of the boathouse.
No wonder I get a bit  every time a train goes by.
I think that I would rather take on the wind, than the trains when they come undone from the tracks. Robbi
