I once spun the center out of a prop....if you look at the prop you will see that there is a rubber bushing between the shaft and the body of the prop... mine spun when I was really putting power to it...but once I slowed down it took hold and I could go again.... kinda a funny feeling...

Other than something actually on the prop, or a damaged blade, then a
spun hub is the most likely answer.

Ditto...sounds like a text book spun hub. _________________ Captain Matt

I would suggest pulling the prop on the suspect engine, then scribing a line across the back end. That is, put a scribed line across the metal and rubber portions. Reinstall, run it, then pull and check to see if the line is still aligned if it happens again.
