If it's a nice night, the going is smooth, and a couple passengers don't mind being out back, you could carry six adults with no problem. The biggest factor will be getting them to stay put so the boat is stable. Weight wise, no problem as long as it's spread out.

We're planning to go about six miles up the Columbia to watch the Astoria fireworks tomorrow night. Never seen them from a boat before, so it should be fun.

Naw, I think it will be OK. Stick a couple of kids up in the v-berth and keep the other two in the cabin (makes me nervous to have kids out back while underway). Even with the extra couple of legs, the weight shouldn't be a problem unless the water is bouncy or the wind is blowing. Then the boat might be a little squirelly.

Have fun and be safe coming home in the dark!

Thank you. We will be careful...it is my middle name as I am an overprotective mom.

Have a safe trip as well!

The US Power Squadron suggests boat length times boat width divided by 15 for the number of people at an avg of 150 lbs each. For a 22, that would be 11 folks... I think you are in good shape.
