I am attempting to install an auto pilot S1 and a Ray Marine GPS. I have read and reread the manuals, tried to match wire colors but am still confused. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Ed

Could you be more specific? Not sure what the rectangle, circle reference is about. There's also some schematics on the raymarine website.

I am attempting to interface the S1 to the chart plotter. The S1 has a rectangle data cable while the chart plotter has a circle pin connector.
There rests the problem. The color of the wires do not appear to match.
I am wondering should I mate the ins and outs and forget colors?

Again Thanks

I had to interface the S1 to a Garmin 182c GPS. I actually used the rectangular connector to connect the wires but first had to cut off the connector from the Garmin. In this way, you are interfacing the wires directly using the little screws in the rectangular connector. I did find out that I had to strip the wire ends first to make a better connection.

Hope this helps.
