I have been looking at possibly buying an 22 cruiser in the near future. I have always loved the looks of the C-dory's and I am looking flor a more functional boat for fishing and cruising then my 20' searay weekender. I have spent many hours reading the forums, what a great community! I would love the opportunity to take a ride on a 22 with someone and chat about their experience that would be interested. Please let me know. |

sgarka - if you show up at the Sequim CBGT, I am sure there will be several 22 owners willing to take you for a cruise. I do not have a 22 but would be willing to give you a ride in my stretched 16.

A good thing about getting to a gathering is you'll see what modifications people have made and start thinking about how you'll set up your boat. None of these are alike, they are infinately customizable. _________________ >Film: C-Dory Buyers Guide< |

This sounds great. I will see if I can get away and stop by. I would like to see what everyone has done in person. I have spent sometime looking at the photo albums and this has sparked my interest even more. |

Scarga,
It's your lucky day! We just became the new C-dory dealer for NW Washington! Come and see us in Mt. Vernon @ Master Marine and I'll get you all set up! We should see the first delivery of our 22' cruiser next week sometime. I have learned quite a bit from the factories prospective and am ready to start hearing things from the owners prospective! Thanks! _________________ C-seller |

SGARKA: Welcome to the site. I see you joined on 4 SEP 07. I agree 100% with the others that there is no better way of learning of all the changes and modifications on our boats than a gathering of C-Brats. Do yourself a favor, spend some time looking at the boats that are signed up on the events list for the show and write them down by name/year of the boat. Some very nice modifications were made by the factory in the 2003-early 2006 time frame to the boats, when the factory really monitored this site, and listened to the owners and how we use/modify the boats. Then..late in the 2006 time frame...several "new versions" of the CD22 cruiser particularly started popping out of the factory with some "interesting" at best modifications. These are still nice boats, but as an individual I would prefer one of the earlier 2006 to 2004 versions. The more form fiberglass on the interior of the boat, the less practical it is for storage and access to storage areas, not to mention that new form forward facing seat. Have they got that figured out yet?? What was wrong with the tried and true "Barber's Chair" that you could flip flop without getting on your hands and knees, and screwing around with 15+ moving parts?? Oh well...you get the idea... just look for your own needs.
C-Seller: Glad to know the folks up in that area now have a full line dealership. Sorry if I have met you and did not realize it during many of my trips to the Seattle area and gatherings. I missed YOUR name in your two post so far.
I have to wonder why if you have been a "limited dealership" of the C-Dory product lines, why you have waited until 29Aug07 to join us on the Brat site. The Orca's and TomCats are great boats. Humm?
I wish you the best in your sells of the C-Dory boats and you should be able to move them with ease as Les has been able to do in years past, particularly if and when Scot and his staff at the factory settle down a bit, and get a handle on their quality control issues on the new boats leaving the factory going to dealerships today. I hope Scot and his staff will allow for ordering boats that fit your dealership needs/abilities and the known upward and downword flow of hulls that happens each year....some years more than others.
Maybe the factory got too big too fast and with the fast turn over of employees and increased tempo of building several hulls and hull types at a time. C-Dory for sure has a full line of boats for buyers of new hulls now, but I wonder just how much floor planing dollars are going to be needed to work with the full line?
Anyway... welcome to you both and hope we get to enjoy our boats together some day.
