|

We have a new C-Dory 25' and are looking to get some bedding for the
inside cabin. Does anyone have any suggestions as to websites we can go to?
We could also use some suggestions on storage, etc.
Thanks,
Laurie |

We are very happy with our Travasak - it is a double sleeping bag with a vee-berth shape. A Google search will turn up a lot of vendors...

OK, Travesak it is. However for storage, we've tried two systems.
Under the counter, we've installed rolling shelves. The kind you get depends on what you have under the sink. Journey On has fixed shelves, so we got two baskets (with rollers) that are about 6" deep. Daydream (see above) doesn't have these shelves, and Pat installed rolling baskets that are much deeper. He has pictures of this setup. We don't. These shelves are great, but you need to lock them in place for towing over rough roads. A rod or bolt does the trick
For other storage, we installed lee cloths on the shelves in the v-berth. Judy packs a complete set of clothes in there, and I mean complete, including toothbrushes. Under the front drawer, we use plastic baskets; the size Judy picked allows two baskets, side by side, with another in the rear. These baskets allow "loose stuff" storage. Under the footboards go the cans, plastic packages.
I am amazed how much gets stored in the head. Power cords, hoses, folding chairs, etc. I'm proud of my ability to use the can without removing everything.
A word of caution. Judy can pack (and I help) enough for 4 mos. in the cabin, with 2 weeks of consumables (beer, etc.) The C-25 is sensitive to weight, and all the s--t does affect performance. Deeper in the water means lower performance. But if you're cruising, that's life. When we unpacked the sailboat to sell, the water line came up (or went down) 3".
