Aw, Jim (Wild Blue) - I now know some of what you would not write about concerning Dixie. Twice on this trip, with Dixie in company, we got kicked out, ran off, 86d or what have you. You wouldn't think that some one so small could cause so much trouble.
We took the dinks and went snorkeling at Fisherman Cove near the USC/Wrigley Center, I anchored and they tied to a bouy. After awhile someone motored over to us and told us not to tie to the large bouys. There are small ones for the public to use. Then he saw that I was had dropped anchor- "Oh no, do not anchor in here. We have equipment on the bottom. Please pull the anchor up" So we untied and pulled anchor and left. Great snorkeling though. _________________ Roger

Dear All:
Well Kath and I finally made it safely back home from our Sixth (6 th) Catalina Offshore Adventure. We had a trailer tire blow out on the Grape Vine. Two hours later we were back on the road. Next year we will have 5 new trailer tires!
Thanks to everyone for such a great week at the Cove. Special thanks to the following:
Steve Dora Jean for the 80 NM trip to San Clemente and back. Excellent trip!
Miles Dora Jean for listening to our BS advise.
Roger Fishtales for the fishing tips and help at San Clemente, and for cooking the fish afterwords.
Mike Sealife for the wonderful tri-tips.
Dixie and Brent Discovery for the great ambrosia salad.
Code Discovery for snorkeling with me.
Sam and Kerry Salty -Cs for the wonderful Island welcome and slip assignments.
Tim of CYA for the great Beef Wellington dinner and cool C-Dory vests.
Joel SEA3PO for helping me with my dingy when snorkeling.
Scott Little Rascal for the stock quotes.
PJ Fishtales for helping Kath with the dingy.
Susan SEA3PO for helping Kath with the dingy.
Ron Islander for helping Kath with the dingy.
Robin Dinner Belle II for helping Kath with the dingy.
John Dinner Belle II for getting me those stainless steel screws for my trailer.
This is the first time in ages that there were no pets or dogs along.
See you all next year, same time, same place. There is no place on earth I would rather be this particular week of the year than to be with this great bunch of folks on the West End of the Island!

Ditto Jim, well said. And thank YOU for the leisurely tow around the bay in my kayak while reclined with my feet up! (Lots of looks and comments....!) _________________ Steve & Carmen
