I just tried to mount my 1984 15 H.P. yamaha on the transom. I was suprised to find it would not fit over the transom. I noticed the black trim had been trimmed flush with the fiberglass under the main engine. Has anybody had to trim and black plastic off the outer edge of the transom to get the kicker clamps over the transom? _________________ Chris |

Hi Chris
I had to trim my black trim to get my 89 Honda 15 hp kicker mounted on my transom. I guess the good news is that being as thick as it is, it should be plenty strong.
Actually, I had to remove the clamps completely and bolt the kicker on it. _________________ Larry S
