I'm looking to go back for Clams.
I'm thinking the Astoria area but I have never clammed there.
Any info and directions would be appreciated.
I'll leave the motorhome at home this time and save the digging for the clams _________________

Ray,
The clamming is super here, and not many people I go almost daily weather permitting. The whole beach has clams and the set is high, which means you can get them on almost any low water..IE We have got them on as high as 3.6 holdup lows..We mark spots by odometer from the approach we are using.. My favorite spots now are: 1.6 north Peter Airdale approach.(the ship) ,all the way to the end to the jetty is hot also,1.6 north of sunset beach approach..Last night we went n. of ship where the were no people and had our limits in 5 minutes.Crazy good..The big storms will put the lid on it soon I'm afraid..
