Hello Panhandle C brats- We're South Florida refugees who have moved to our farm near chipley. We're bringing the boat up and are interested in cruising around Apalachicola. Can anyone recommend a good ramp where we can launch and leave our vehicle for a few days? Thanks Al&Linda |

Al and Linda , welcome up to the "Real South" ! The launch ramp in Apalachicola is a great place to launch and you can leave your vehicle there with no problem . Its located under the bridge , and the locals call it 10 foot hole . I keep my 25 cruise ship in the marina and we have an extra slip that you can tie up in for a few days in the marina. It has power and water as well . Call me and let me know when you are coming and Ill give you the tour ! Then we will expect you at the 2007 Gulf Coast Gathering in October................

I agree that the Apalachicola ramp is good. We have also stayed in our RV at this ramp parking lot. It seems secure, but locals, like Marc :-) hang around! If you want one in the Pensacola area, the Pensacola Marine Shipyard complex is the best and most secure. Second is the one at Gulf Breeze: Shoreline. Both of these have good parking. _________________ Bob Austin
