Anyone have any experience with Subject Radar? It's a non LCD (has a 7" Monochrome CRT) radar with a 36" open array antenna. No radome but that neat spinny thing (3 FT) that goes around. Apparently is a 3KW unit. I know in bright sunlight it would be inferior to a LCD unit but the price appears to be right. I worked for Sperry for a number of years but don't know much about the reliability of the Raytheon units.

Hey Swabby,
Go buy it if the price is right. Raytheon is my favorite right now... although Furuno runs a very close second. And an open wave guide is the way to go... pretty spendy if you buy a new one. Mono is fine as far as I'm concerned. The color doesn't help much. That unit should come with a hood...
