Brent – I checked the link you referred to and did not see a map of the included coverage area. Now I could have missed it, as there are over 200 direct links on the page. Could you give a link to the map.
Thanks

looking at the map I would not call that city wide covarage. Great if you are down town but if you leave the core you are done. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

Wow... that sounds good... Go "to town" check yer stuff...and get back out to the waters. The city of Clarksville is also looking into this. I sure would like it. _________________ Patrick Byrd "Byrdman"

Ah, Portland, not exactly the first city....
The City That Cut the Cord
Sleepy Spokane, Wash., has a secret: it's the wireless hot spot of the future
October 11, 2004
....In 1999, Crilly, working with another HP engineer named Bob Conley, figured out a way to run a regular wi-fi signal through a phased-array antenna, a powerful piece of hardware that's used mostly by the military. Suddenly, they had a wi-fi hot spot a couple of miles wide. The world had never seen that before. If a regular wi-fi transmitter was a candle, this thing was a baseball-stadium spotlight. They called it, for reasons best known to themselves, Little Joe.....
