This just in...
Nurse Ratchet (Cynthia for you new-comers) called me from Home Depot - they had Klean-Heat for $3/gallon. This is more than half off, and only about $1 more a gallon than good quality kero.
She kleaned them out - sounds like she got 20-30 gallons, of which Da Nag will claim 10...
Not sure if this is a local (Port Angeles) thing, or possibly a seasonal special everywhere; I know last year, Fred Meyer's told me ClearLite (Klean-Heat predecessor) was only carried during the fall/winter months. Perhaps HD is making room for spring items...
Great time to stock up, if it's available at this price elsewhere. _________________

Just checked here in the Northern Va area. Got a Home Depot 3 miles away. None here. Around DC they only burn Natural Gas from the Politicos and hope it doesn't explode.
Actually with the election a long 8 months away, I expect a conflagration at any time. _________________ CHARLIE and PENNY CBRAT #100

Klean-Heet in Fairbanks is selling for $19.95 per 5gal can which works out to $3.99. Still not too bad. I'd hate to haul it up here by fist for a buck a gallon.
Of course the Klean-Heat they sell down your way actually burns. _________________ Mark on Mighty Bite |

Da Nag,
I just wanted to confirm that the Klean Heat you are speaking about is for the Wallas Stove. I know they have it here at the Home Depot in Woodinville. It sounds like a great alternative to Diesel.
