In typical fashion, I changed my mind in mid stream about having a full cover made for Sealife to protect her from the sun. Peggy, from Channel Islands Canvas came out and started the canvas layout with plastic, and when I saw that, and envisioned the size and weight of the cover in Sunbrella, I balked. Instead, we are designing a cover for the brow, and another for the blue hull trim. The brow piece will fasten to the roof rail and extend down to cover the cabin windows, eliminating the need to fasten the inside privacy covers after every use. The lower part to cover the blue trim on the hull sides will suspend from the bow rail, spring cleat, and stern cleat (we think), and have sandbag weights to keep it down in the wind. Both items should be easy on and off, important for me as I use the boat almost every week, sometimes twice a week. Alot less expensive than a full cover. Photos when finished. _________________ Mike - Sealife |
