Took the Mary Ellen to Swantown Thursday for an overnighter with my two oldest Grandsons. Met Boris and family up from San Diego with Journey On ,a very nice 25 footer. Had a great visit and then cruised out to Boston Harbor for the day. Came back and stayed overnight at Swantown. A very nice day with little wind and lots of sun. Boris is planning on cruising in Puget Sound for an extended period, if you get a chance be sure and talk with him. Will post some pics in my album.

The South Sound sometimes seems overlooked, but there are some great spots there. We like Jarrell Cove best, and Joemma State Park is a great spot too. Cruise up to Allyn, tie up at the city dock, and go over to Leonard K's (former Allyn Tavern) for a great breakfast...stop in at Kenny's Northwest Experience afterwards just for fun.

We launched at Swan town on Sunday morning for the first sea trials in our new C-Dory. What a treat! On a 6 hour cruise we made a stop at Jarrell Cove and talked to the crew of the Journey on from San Diego.
They are very nice people and plan on spending all summer in this neck of the world. They plan on being at Bellingham for the gathering.
