Hi all, I was hoping to get a ball park figure on the cost of just a bimini top without side curtains and such. I'm guessing somewhere near 1k. I need to make some local calls. Anyone have experience in the Portland OR area with canvas shops? |

Hayden Island Canvas out on the end of Tomahawk Island was always pretty good. Why not go mailorder for just a bimini? I used "american marine upholstery" over the internet and had really good results for a previous boat. The one mistake I made was not going with the stainless rails though. The ones I got were fine but I am sure the stainless are much more substantial. Assembly and mounting were really simple. Took a couple hours. |

Carol's Custom Canvas - (503) 289-3530 - Ask for Gordon; he did my bimini for $800 and it's oversized. Also, he came to my slip. Excellent workmanship.

I am sure you can find a "stock" top with stainless frame for under $350.00. That is with Sunbrella fabric and mounting hardware. Now shipping will cost you big time if you order from the east coast so, I think I would be paying attention to the suppliers on the left coast.
Stop by some of the boat dealers and see what they have in stock, then when you find one that has a top that meets your width and length measurements, bring the boat by and do a try on...I think you will save a bunch of money.
This is a tried and true method. I did it with mine. _________________ Mike Taylor

I think I would call KING Canvas (the folks the factory uses) and ask them.... they sure have all the measurements and could easily supply you with as much or as little as you want. All the canvas that I have seen that they made were excellent...and fit perfectly.
