Windows in V-birth area

I note Red Fox has portlights which probably are in the V-birth part of the cabin. I'm thinking of doing the same on my CD25 Cosmic C. What brand are yours? Do they open? Is the wall surface where they are installed flat? If it is, can they also be installed on a curved surface? Are you happy with them?

High Larry, your the first to ever ask about those. (I thought you'd never ask) hehe anyway, I don't remember the brand, I can look tomorrow though. I got them at West Marine. They do open, or I would not have bought them, one of the primary purposes was for ventilation, they are screened so one can leave them open all the time in the summer and be vented without letting the bugs in. Also when I lock her up at the harbor they ca be left open and the boat can be allowed to vent and be locked up at the same time. I never had any leaks what so ever!, and they are installed on a surface with a very slight curve to! The stainless screws you see on them were my idea, I through bolted them on and used 3M 5200 sealant, to bond and seal them real well.

I was looking at this picture of your windlass install, and I noticed your portlights. Pretty snazzy. Did you put those in yourself? Who made them? They sure seem to brighten up the cavern in there.

Maybe Patrick will see this post and jump in and let us know what he decided for his CD25.
