I've been pretty meticulous cleaning mold from the both inside walls of the fuel tanks under the motor well, in the starboard battery compartment and in the area back around the drain plug of my 22' '05. I figured there was mold on the other sides but, until I took off the panel protecting the tank (the one with the cut out to watch fuel levels), I had no idea of how bad it was!

I managed to clean the top and front side of the tank but can't get to the outside or back without removing the entire fuel tank? I dread even doing that much on the other tank - removing that front panel is not easy.

Anyone got thoughts or ideas?

Spray one of the mold abatement solutions on the area, allow to sit for several hours, and then spray with water. I have used garden sprayers to get into tight places,

Thanks Bob! I'm using a bleach and water mix but it sure is difficult to get in behind some of those tight places! As long as I give everything a good rinsing, do you think there's any concern for the bleach damaging or eroding 'stuff'?

I have used similar solutions and had no problems. Just don't spray on electrical contacts, batteries, etc.

I use a product called Wet and Forget to retard future mold growth. It is sold at Lowes and on Amazon.
