|
|
Can anyone provide specs or a mechanical drawing for the bunks needed for a CD22. I have the original 2001 EZ Loader, roller, #4000 that came with the boat.
I have seen some for the CD22's that have two sets of bunks (one smaller pair up front and inside of the longer main bunks).
Needed:
Bunk Dimensions - H x W x D
Bunk Position, Angle and Height above axle and crossmembers.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It may seem like you're being ignored, but I don't think that is true. I don't think anyone has schematics or blueprints for bunks to put on your EZ Loader roller trailer. But....if you're going that route, and I've done it with 2 other non C-Dory boats, it wasn't hard, but it was time consuming. I used a couple of 4x4s cut at the correct angle to form a cradle from approximately where the front rollers were going all the way back to the end of the stern. You'll have to fabricate brackets to bolt the 4x4s to the trailer frame as well, but the ones I have made were not complex....just welded together c-channel and some 1/4 inch plate. The reason any of this happened was not by choice - none of the roller parts I needed were available from the trailer manufacturer as they went under. In your case, EZ loaders probably can help you get the correct replacement parts for your current roller set-up. They're sort of expensive, but in my opinion, probably worth it since no fab work is involved. |

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to get as many photos of trailers for CD22's as I can to determine where I need place the bunks/brackets. I think I need to add a crossmember up front as well. |

I just purchased an EZ loader for my new CD 22 from NMI. It has bunk boards rather than rollers. If you contact Northwest Marine Industries they should be able to provide you with the information on how to set it up and may be able to provide you with the hardware or how to get it from EZ loader. I don't think it has any additional supports. Brackets for the bunk boards are attached to the cross members of the trailer. Amazon has a selection of different types if you search for boat trailer bunk board brackets. |
