Nice photos Colby. Thank you. As of this moment, I just received another sign up. Tomorrow we should have 34 C-Brat vessels on the dock. The C-Dory representatives are here and having fun with us. Also, many people interested in these boots are walking the docks and joining us having boat tours and getting to know the C-Brats community. _________________ Gary F

Another two plugs. One, my coloring book. Not sure where it ended up tonight, but when it gets to you, please color in it. Means a lot to me, and it's a lot of fun for others to look at. Then pass it to the boat next to you. It takes a bit to get 30 boat crews a chance to color, so if you can, move it along fairly quickly. And whoever has it when the potluck begins, please get it back to me so I can figure out who hasn't had it yet, and keep track of it before heading out on Sunday. Thanks big time!
Two, I still have my old full cover for a 25' C-Dory. I had a new one made and would like to sale the old one. There is a thread somewhere on here with photos of it. http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=31344
It still has some use left in it, but I needed something better for the Wisconsin winters. Colby |

Somehow, against all odds, Two Lucky Fish is on the road!
Somehow, the foredeck hatch lens has been re-bedded with magic Dow Corning 795 (in the wrong color, but I didn't have time to fix that).
Traffic's pretty thick into Everett. If we're all worn out by the time we get to Cornet Bay, we might just spend the night there. _________________ Timothy R. R. Flanagan |

A beautiful day today, and a few more C-Dorys showed up. I'm guessing we have around 35 now. I think all the spots on the odd numbered side of the H dock are full. Day was spent with most socializing, getting to know each other, and with several dock walkers checking out our boats. (Many considering buying a boat and seeing what the C-Dory offers, or just interested in boats.) At noon we had a meeting of folks that plan to cruise to Princess Louisa Inlet. With a dozen boats, it's probably like herding cats. Everyone has their own best speed they prefer to run, and times they like to get up and leave. I believe it's still a plan in process, and I suspect it will involve several smaller groupings, which may work out better for anchorage or docking. Weather and sea state are factors we have to consider. Right now the weather is great. So do we run faster and get there sooner, or take our time and enjoy the ride? Winds tend to be more later in the day, so leave early or a little later. Currents play in to the equation as well as there are several "rapids" to contend with...
Unfortunately, one of our newer brats managed to lose his iPhone in the drink while climbing out of his kayak. A group (of gawkers? ) formed, and actually helped to put together several poles and a net to go fishing for it. Tide was out, but still 20' of water. No good news to report. Davy Jones wins again. This evening many Brats went out for dinner, in different groups. Colby
Folks planning for the Princess Louisa Inlet cruise. (Several more showed up after I took this photo.)
Some serious chart study!
Building a large fishing pole to fish out an overboard cell phone.
It became a group effort!

Quick update to previous post, phone was retrieved today by a diver who happened to be doing some work on a local’s boat. And phone was still working after spending the night in 20+ ft of salt water!

Another great C-Brat gathering comes to a close. Gary and Colleen did a good job putting this together, and Michael and his wife Alona from Northwest Marine Industries, provided some great swag for this evening's raffle, along with some good food for the potluck! Julie and Ryan, also of NMI, and I think possibly Mark, also stopped by for a while today. (Julie, if you are reading this, you skipped out before I could get you to color in my coloring book! Happy news for the new brat I mentioned yesterday, a diver found his phone. I was on my boat's cockpit when I saw a diver coming by. I asked the guy if he was cell phone diving today, thinking Dan (C-Sprite) had hired him. Apparently not, as the diver replied he was diving for Zincs. I suggested he stop and talk to the guy several boats down, as he might have another job. Long story short, Dan even talked the diver into accepting half the fee the diver mentioned he charged! Diver spent less than 5 minutes in the water and came up with the phone. Still on and still working!
If I remember correctly, Colleen stated we ended up having 34 C-Dorys, I think three without boats, and three of other boats. To finish the evening off, in memory of Roger, several recordings of his last singing and playing trombone were played. Tomorrow some of us will start on our way to Princess Louisa Inlet, while others head home or onto other locations. Colby
I missed getting a photo of the diver coming up with the phone, but I see Mike got it in the last post.
The next couple of photos are of the potluck and raffle afterwards.

Colleen and I are back from the Broughtons. Sorry we haven’t posted earlier but cell phone reception was poor. Wanted to say thank you to everyone that participated in coming to the event this year. We had 35 boats in attendance and met so many nice people. Special thanks to Greg and Cindie and Aven for filling in on the boat christenings this year. Pat and Patty, we missed you and hope you will be there next year. Special thanks to Michael and Alona Millison, Julie and others from the C-Dory factory. They brought so much swag and everyone went home with something. Looking forward to doing this again next year. Gary |
