I am replacing the electric/butane stove in my 2007 25' Cruiser with a Wallas stove/heater and noticed two sets of unused wires, the first cable is red and black and the other cable is green and black. There is no power to either one of them. I would like to use either cable for powering the Wallas stove. Any ideas regarding these two cables would be a great help.

My 2007 25 also had a similar set of unused wires. I did not trace them out--but there was a corresponding set back by the battery. The Wallas is supposed to be hooked up to the battery, which is not consistent with ABYC standards. You want to have good clean 12.6 volt power for it to start the stove. You could put a signal generator on those wires and trace them out--I would not be surprised if you found that they terminated near the main circuit breaker or the battery aft of the cockpit. _________________ Bob Austin

The wiring needs to be 10awg and direct to the battery with a fuse or circuit breaker near the batt. |
