I'm glad you all liked the new album. The new photos were from our 3-week trip around Prince William Sound. Just the wife, dog, and boat. A great trip. We started in Whittier, and stopped in Cordova and Valdez along the way.
Those bears can be mighty talented.
Also, notice the foul-weather gear on the taxi driver? We've learned that occasionally the rider does fall off, and makes a heck of a mess trying to get back in. And sometime, after rolling in something particularly odiferous, we throw him in anyway. _________________ Blain

Blain,
Can Do and I are planning a ski trip out to PWS in April. Since you have done it before, do you want to play guide or give us a few hints where the best areas might be. I've flown over the Sound a couple of times in the last two weeks and snow cover looks a little skimpy down low. _________________ Tom

Hi Tom,
Yeah, it does look skimpy, though I'm hoping for a big ol' March dump. Do yer snow dance.
As for spots to ski, Long Bay to the FS cabin is awfully nice for a variety of terrain, and Derickson Bay in Nellie Juan would be primo with all the open terrain. Of course, it depends on the type of skiing you want to do. Pigot Bay and Tebenkof Glacier would make a great long ski tour, and maybe even crust skiing for skate. Can't tell you my super secret spots, I'm sure you understand... |

Blain,
We are primarily looking for telemark terrain, but thought the Schrode Lake cabin would be a good trip as well as Culross Island off of Goose Bay. |
