If C-Dory would re-create this boat but with a big outboard instead of the diesel inboard, it would be a killer at Boat Shows! Does anyone know where this boat is now and who owns it?
Sorry for the low resolution, I grabbed the image off the random images on the entry page and re-scaled it. If anyone has a better image, please post it! _________________

This boat was re-fit at EQ, and did the Inside Passage in 2005. There are a few photos in the San Juan Islands.
Here is a higher quality image of the first photo I posted.
I have emailed Aiviq for the back story on this boat! I hope he responds!

I've had my eye on this baby for sometime.
It can be found here, less the lap strake hull:

And, I agree. It would put a smile on most faces, for a while.

Looks like SeaSport copied the design of the C-Dory! |

Anyway, who cares? It's available.

Sea Sport had the design for decades it feels like. I’ve had an eye on them for a while but can never justify buying a just slightly bigger boat with the same beam. There is a 26 foot commander with twin outboards I have my eye on but it’s an older hull, I have trouble growing from a 2007 to a 1989.
Love the look of the 28 c-dory and how beamy they are. |

Had a CD 26 Venture; no self draining cockpit, somewhat short freeboard.
Felt vulnerable a few times. Don't like feeling that way "out there" (beyond
rivers, bays and coastal). Got over it but never liked it. Two of several reasons
I sold it for a bigger boat.
Wonder if these features are improved with the 2600 series Sea Sport (?).

The owner of that boat took it, on its own hull, to alaska and turned it over to his family. He was a embassy security employee that did not het home very often. He blew the motor and had to install another one on the trip north, His brother joined him but broke his leg or cut it really bad and needed stiches or both??? I forget. It was like a trip from hell. Have not heard from him in a few years. would love to see the inside of that boat and yes mount outboards on her. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

How does the Sea Sport 2600 Alaskan compare to the Tomcat? The sales rep at 3 Rivers said that the Tomcat was more spacious. Does anyone know how the prices compare? I didn't ask about the Sea Sport once he directed me more toward the Tomcat. |
