2004 Tomcat Water tank leaking

I have a 2004 Tomcat and I think my water holding tank or tubing is leaking. When I fill it up I am getting water in the starboard pontoon that my back starboard bilge pump is pumping out. My boat's design as the water intake on the port side then it runs under the galley and is pumped into the sink and (is supposed to) drain out the side. There is usually water in my tank during a trip, but it seems like a constant slow leak into the starboard pontoon.

My sink water pump was leaking this spring so I replaced that, but it seems like there is a leak in the tank or the tubing under the galley as well. Has anyone had to check the connections or replace the tubing? How do you access the tank?

I am confused on where your tank is, but either way access is easy. If it is on the port side, remove the screws and pull up the floor panel under the aft seat. If it is on the starboard side, remove the screws and pull up the floor panel under the galley.
The early Tomcat 24's had the tank (and fill) in the starboard hull. The later ones had it in the port hull (to redistribute weight from the too heavy starboard side). Unless a prior owner relocated the tank, yours should be in the port hull. The fact that your fill is on the port side would make me think the tank is still on the port side, in which case the leak is likely in the hose or connection feeding the sink.
I would suggest after you have fixed the source of your leak, to install an access port in the appropriate floor panel adjacent to the tank so that you can look down to the bottom of the hull and also see the side of the tank to see the water level.
Wow - a 2004. You must have one of the last ones made. I would be curious what your hull number is. I have serial number DOR24009xxx (so hull number 9).

We have a 2003 model that we took possession of in July of 02. This was a factory direct deal, no dealer, so I did all our warranty work myself with factory support. Our water tank is on the port side. Initially we couldn't get water to pump out of the tank. I cut the water hose above the floor and temporarily installed a pump. No problem getting water so, thankfully, that indicated the problem wasn't in the spoon. Proceeded to follow the water hose to and around the transom and up the starboard side to the foot pump under the sink. No problems found until I got under the galley. Turns out when the access plate was installed the screw used to secure it to the floor was long enough to just penetrate the hose causing loss of suction. My solution was to shorten the run by running a new hose from the cut hose above the floor on the port side (directly above the tank) straight across under the door to the foot pump on the starboard side. No further problems for the last 20 years.

If your problem is in the spoon access is straightforward. As Jeff said you'll have to dismantle the cabinet and remove the access panel. You'll find the tank foamed in and with patience you can dig it out enough to remove the tank. I did it with the sewage tank on the same side when I remove the entire head system and replaced with an Airhead toilet. Replaced that nasty tank with a second water tank. I now have 45 gallons of fresh water.

I have a 02 tomcat. Fresh water tank is under the dinette cabinets on port side. Disassemble the cabinets and it’s right under. Once in the lines are easy to see/trace. To access the tank, it Took me about 3 hours total to disassemble and reassemble once done, first time going in there. Doesn’t include repair time.
