|
|
Just replaced my house batteries, and finally got around to trying to address the issue of faulty voltage readings on the display (3-4v). Every other function works perfectly.
Victron has no factory service hotline, so I’ve googled it, and did everything suggested to no avail.
What I’ve one so far -
Verified full voltage on the bank
Cleaned every connection
Verified 13.2v from battery to shunt
Replaced the fuse and holder sending power to the head end.
Sprayed contact cleaner where I could
Still no luck. The important stuff still works - SOC, current draw, etc, so this is a small problem, but it bugs me.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,

Ohm out the cable from the shunt to the display. I think it is just an RJ45 or RJ11 cable. |

To follow up on ssobol's good suggestion is to swap out the cable. For any of the functions to read, the 12 volt lead to the battery has to be connected properly. Either there is a defect in the shunt, cable or monitor. It is pretty much plug and play.
Did you have it working previously? _________________ Bob Austin

Agree Bob, I suspect it’s the shunt or the cable. The shunt and cable are available, and not too expensive. I’ll give them a shot |

The cable is a 6 conductor cable so it’s an RJ12. I would try resetting the monitor back to factory and do any updates. _________________ Jody Kidd

Was that part easy to get from Victron? Reasonable price? _________________ Sandy McKean

It took a bit of time to find, but this is where I found it. Price was ~$20.00.
