Finally at the boat with up to four days of no competing obligations! Today is Get It Ready Day.
Fuse to anchor light is intact. It’s shared with navy lights, which work, so that was a long shot. Not sure how I’m going to disconnect the light pole. Have to climb up and take a look.
I’m pretty sure the pump out valve is set to pump out (else how would I have pumped out last week?) I figured I should switch it to macerator so I can run some antifreeze through it before locking it on pump out. Great theory. While I was unable to move the switch, I did earn 143 yoga points for trying. Gonna feel that later. There must be some trick.
Headliner stains (I think it’s varnish or stain) won’t come out. Tried many suggestions. I’m accepting that boats get dirty. They aren’t that noticeable anyway.
Found all kinds of switches to pumps and stuff. Need one more plumbing piece and I’ll be ready to properly and fully winterize the system.
Most importantly, as I clean and poke around the boat is beginning to feel like MY boat _________________ Tom Parrent

Tom, from what I can tell from a couple of photos, it looks like your Anchor light is mounted on the radar tower. You mentioned a "Spare, non working LED" light. Please clarify, if the one on the boat is working or not, and is it an LED or not? Rare that an LED would "burn out", but if the one that is mounted on the boat is incandescent, they burn out every week -- more vibrate out than burn I think. If the actual anchor light is an incandescent, I would switch it over to LED in a heartbeat. (Will use less battery at anchor, be more reliable as a nav light, and be a brighter, whiter light - usually.)
And, Don't fall of the top of the boat. NO matter what you are landing on it is going to "feel".
Harvey

Agree that the anchor light is on the back of the radar strut or tower (not arch). This is after market, and until you take a photo of it, we will have no idea of what type of light is there. It probably has a "screw off lens", but many of the LED are sealed. If that is the case, then the wiring has to be exposed. There should be surplus wire in the radar strut, or in the cabin. If it does not unscrew, detach the light from the strut and expose the wires. If there is a failed connection--fix it. If you cannot tell, then expose a very small part of both wires and check the voltage between them. If the voltage is good, then it is the LED, and if it is not replaceable, then a new fitting is in order. _________________ Bob Austin
