When I bought my Toyota 4X4 p/u Jimmy Carter was president, the Shah was running Iran, and John Wayne was alive and kicking. Stuck a new engine in 2 years ago and am looking forward to the next 27 years. _________________ Pete

I'm driving an 03'Runner.It now has 69k on it and has been absolutely trouble free, something the previous Dodge wasn't.Cheap, quite and reliable what more could you ask.By the way, I think this is a fabulous site.Loads of great info and interesting people.Hope to make a move on a C-Dory come fall (next spring at the lastest). Thanks for all the help.

Toyota talk, now, that's tantalizing. You bet I'll brag. My metal hunk and I have amassed (mercy me!) 211K miles trouble-free. And you better believe my grey, '90 4Runner's a chick magnet: Routinely they appear, stare, glance at me, then turn and run in a tear. Predictably they discover there's a hotter one, right over there. Still, me and my ozone choker make out just fine. |

My 89 Toy Tacoma had 157,000 on it when I "had" to trade it in on a Toy Tundra 8Cyl 4WD. Seems someone in the family decided to go from the 22 to a 25. Bigger boat means bigger truck. We are waiting to see what Pat and Patti are going to upgrade to for the 25 Ranger. I'm thinking a Dodge Ram with duallies. _________________ David and Kate

I'm thinking its a 97 Expedition, and we keep her at the bottom of the big hill! But we have a while to figure that one out...

Back when I had the choice of buying any new truck I could choose (2001) The Tundra was about the last truck I thought I would desire. In my mind for years, all I had the "hots" for was a big and bad Diesel! Funny how things worked out... after hearing a whole bunch of testimony like this here on C-Brats, is what made me go and at least take the big Toyota for a test spin. After that, and all the ranting and raving from many owners... it was the Tundra hands down!
Great thread fellas! I'll use it to refer peeps to that might be in the market -- arg!
FYI: The service here at "Nye Toyota" (Anchorage, AK) has been first rate! |

Hey Geebee...welcome! I asume from your user name that you love classic airplanes? If so, you have good taste.
