to help keep you from going nuts (it it's not to late).
put on your best running shoes and go to your nearest golf course. In the parking lot, stretch and warm up. When properly warmed up, sprint out onto the driving range and harvest a few golf balls (the more folks using the driving range, the quicker you must move).
After harvesting a few golf balls, find a nice long dock line, I bought a 3/8 x 25', and tie a monkey fist in the end...what the hell is a monkey fist? this tells you how to tie one http://www.igkt.net/beginners/monkeys-fist.html
Stick the golf ball in the center of the monkey and tighten knot.
You now have a dock line you can hurl at the dock and possibly catch a cleat...of maybe smack Mike in the noggin
The golf ball is just a wee bit large so I managed to waste several hours whittling it down for a better fit _________________ Ken

Hey Ken, I know the temptation is just to look at the pictures, but at the bottom of the page you linked it says this:
Quote: | Avoid the temptation to weight the core with a hard, heavy object. This can convert a useful knot into a potentially lethal missile. Any self-respecting wharfie will take out his knife and cut off any such knot.
