Taco left for greener pastures today. Having only gone out a few times in the last several years, I just couldn't justify continuing to take up space in the garage.
The good news is, Taco went to a fellow C-Brat who will spend many a day on Priest Lake with my ol' pal. Taco will join the crew of Castaway, bringing their C-Dory fleet count to two.
While this leaves your kinda-sorta-humble C-Brat nerd without an appropriate boat, that might be short lived. A trip up the Inside Passage on the Nordic 26 is being planned for next year, but upon my return - it's possible a sale will happen there as well.
If so, I'll be returning to something that would fit in at future C-Brat gatherings. I'll save that discussion for its own thread once a decision has been made.
Bye, Taco.

A bit like your kid getting married: you hate to see them go, but you want them to take on life with a good partner. Congrats and condolences on the sale. Some of us really get it. |

One of the hardest thing to do is letting go, but as the saying go you cannot move forward unless you learn when to set things free. |

I'm really happy the timing of Will's decision to let go of Taco and my search for a 16 angler coincided! The fact that Taco was in excellent shape, set-up for Scotty DR's and had the fold-away-tongue on the trailer made my choice pretty simple really. Thanks Will!

As you let go of Taco and open new doors we hope that we won't lose you as well....Nordic Tugs are so cool. _________________ Micah Curtis and Dana, RN

I'm not going anywhere.
I love the Nordic, and its departure is far from certain. However, one would think after spending nearly two decades with C-Brats, the wisdom of smaller/simpler would have sunk in.
Should I revert to a smaller boat, plans are to go new. I want something built and configured exactly to my specifications...with the possible exception of electronics, which I'll likely tackle myself. Venture 23 or Marinaut are the two boats most occupying my mind. |

Oh good, the Ventures sound good, a bit broader in the stern and more deadrise than the 22s. It would be so nice to start out with a new boat, we visited the factory a couple of years ago and having been a pattern maker in a similar place years ago their quality looked good.
Keep up the good work. |

Oh My, WOW. Now there is a whole bunch of news going on there. So, glad Taco went to a family member, and sure interested in following the AK trip. Maybe someday, in some way.
Always see a bunch of Nordics along the way. Great boats, and great folks.
