Installed two solar battery maintainers (Pulsetech SP-2, purchased on eBay), to the generator platform. This installation allowed me to complete the installation with out drilling any holes into the boat and the panels always are in an open space, facing straight up.
I had this same product on my 22 and replaced them with the same product after they had been in the sun for 15 years. The system was replaced with the same brand that went on the 26, but the panels on the 26 are larger.
It may seem odd that the panels will be covered when the Honda generator is straddling them, but the generator would only be there if in use and the on-board charger would be doing its business then...
