Going to the lake for a few days. THE SUN IS SHINING!! And I start with Bonnie Plant Farm on Monday to make me a bit more boating money...as to help me be able to get one of the sweet new TC255s.
Have a couple of folks who have just emailed me and may also be interested in FreeByrd while I am on the lake this week. If so, good, if not, no big deal right now....and I could possibly make that FL gathering prior to heading somewhere in the NE area for the plant season. If FreeByrd has a new home, I'll just have to go north back to Mt. Juliet and pick C-Byrd back up and touch her up a bit for the gathering.
I do plan on attempting to get Sherryl down to the Miami boat show as to allow her to see the TC255 for herself. Will be out of the net a few days....loven the sunshine and beautiful Lake Martin.
I am not sure why Jeff @ C-Dory sounded excited about me going to work to make a little more boating money....

Pat Byrd, at the Bonnie Plant Farm -- didn't think that would happen 'till you breathed your last, Pat. Trust you're not pushing up the Daisys but hoeing them.
More bucks, more boats -- great!! Enjoy the work and hope you have a chance for a little FL cruising. _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

Byrdman, When you get home--off the lake---call me on my cell phone--Wed. AM I'm heading south in the motorhome---hopefully down thru Nashville--onto the Natchez Trace---maybe to Ark. ---then over into Fl. in time for the Miami show.
The Padre is chompin at the bit to get to another show---maybe we can talk him into a C-Dory yet.

Looks like I will be heading to Maryland for this plant season. The only greenhouse I know of for Bonnie is in Kennedyville Maryland, due east and cross the bay from Baltimore. Gentleman by the name of Dave Drury runs the place and the routes. Could not get intouch with him today...he may be shoveling snow.... but should talk with him prior to weeks end to find out when I will be heading north...... Hummm.... looks like with that much water up there I may need to pull FreeByrd off the market, and start looking for slips up there on a 6 month contract.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Everytime I see this thread I chuckle when I see the Byrdman gets a job title. As in, Byrdman is no bum? We all know BM had a previous job, and are grateful for it.
Now then, who is The Padre we keep hearing about? I like him already. Sorry, but I must have missed something somewhere. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Well, Padre is another east coast cat from NY that is friends with Terry, and helped Bill and El out during some of their travels. He has no C-Dory, but did make the Seatle Boat Show and Factory Gathering....and left in a nice C-Dory jacket and hat. We had a blast!! Now, Padre is on the mouth of the "ditch" that crosses FL, on the very west side in his RV in an RV park. He and Terry worked in THE BIG house up in NY together. Both great folks and we had a blast to say the least. Pic in FreeByrd of the 3 of us in front of the factory.. Padre is the short as me guy on the left side of the photo. He came out one night in black pants, black turdle neck sweater, black shoes....and a glass of Red wine.... all he needed was a white collar.... hince ....the name Padre. His real name is Bill.....and I aint about to attempt that last name. |

Byrdman,
Just exactly what are you going to do. We all know you are very good at spreading fertilizer, but there has got to be more value added than that.
What are you going to do to the plants? _________________ Tom

Well, I am going to put the fertilizer to good use.... and am taking a plant route with Bonnie Plant Farm to make it possible for me to have more boating cash... Got news today they want me up north on 6 March, so, will pull the boat this weeked/Monday and take it down to Marc at Weflings, down in Eastpoint, FL or sell it (FreeByrd the TC24...not the CDA-1 to some folks who have been working on a deal with me of late.....
The greenhouse is in Kennedyville, MD. My sleeping quarters will be in either Chesterville or Chestertown MD...both look to be pretty close to each other... and my route will take me to the towns of Deptford, Clementon, West Berlin, Berlin, Tunersville, Sicklersville, Mantua, Glassboro, Brooklawn, Pennsville, Hammonton, Egg Harbor, Absecon, Pleasantville, Somer's Point, Rio Grande, Cap May, Mays Landing, Millville, Vineland... Some or all of which will be in the SE corner of NJ. Looks like a lot of water type names... and will take apart an atlas tonight or Friday to plug the battle area. WOW... just might have to bring the CDA18 north.... |
