We can't book space from the port until after the 1st of the year, so that is when we send out solid dates for this event.
I can say we are planning to book the event for May 18th,19th,20th 2018!
Plan for that and watch the site (We will start a 2018 FH event thread) in early January for any difference in dates.
We will be happy to host you,

Thanks Greg. I'll put those dates on my calendar for now. Still not sure how this spring and summer will end up for me, but it will involve more boating! Colby |

My wife and I will be there. Harald, It won't be set up until the dates are firm with Friday Harbor staff. Greg is good about being johnny on the spot there because that place fills up like a puddle in a rainstorm.
Friday Harbor C-Brat Get Together ( easily known as the FH CBGT) is a must for the PNW folks and often for those going north to AK or areas inbetween for good early summer cruising. We have had folks there from So Cal, TX, FL, MT, ID, OR, WA, UT and probably some others I can't remember. Sometimes upwards of 40 boats, and then there have been fly in (or other transportation methods) that stay in local B&B or Motels. We have had other boats there too, Sea Sport, some Aluminum types and I believe there was even a sail boat at one time. I missed last year so can't say for sure who or what was there but if you go back through this thread it will give a pretty good picture.
{Plan on making it, it is worth it.}
Harvey

Good to hear you will be there, and look forward to meeting,l if that hasn't happened before then. (SBS CBGT and then there is always the chance meeting at a gas station in Portland or something

At this point in time, we'll see if my wife can get her vacation during that time in May. What is the usual status of folks after the official gathering? In Florida at the St. John's gathering, some of us hang around for a week or so afterwards to do some cruising in the area. Is that the routine for the Friday Harbor gathering? I'm still looking at a SE Alaska trip, but would be pulling my boat out and trailering it, probably to Skagway, but possibly Prince Rupert if any others are doing so. Have been going back and forth about doing that this summer or 2019. But for now, let's just say I'm leaning for this summer. Colby |

Colby, good top hear you are thinking about Friday Harbor. it is a great time in the islands. It is pretty common for there to be C-Dorys out and about in the San Juan's before and after the CBGT. It is an easy jaunt over to Sidney, or even up into the Gulf Islands, and early trips can be planned or spontaneous. Again, after the FH CBGT weekend there are often some small group cruises that go off together for a week or so, some heading north, others still exploring in the islands.
Once the dates are set and the time gets closer those plans tend to show up here on the site. Keep watch, and plan ahead.

Thanks Harvey. If it worked out to us coming, we'd likely spend another week after the gathering cruising with with others. Nothing is set in stone for now, and likely won't be until in the spring. But with the midwest winter here, I've got time to plan for when it does happen. Colby |

We are awaiting confirmation on our reservation request from the event coordinator. I will post the dates in a 2018 thread as soon as I get that message.
