For those of you who may not know, the boat in the picture on our front page didn't always look so good. When Chris got it, and before he started the restoration, it looked like this:
You can see the various steps and stages of Chris' amazing craftsmanship in his album. Of the many creative and artful things I have seen through my association with all you great people, this project is the one that elicits the biggest Wow!! from me. _________________ TyBoo Mike

You're as close to expert as I've ever come across, Chris. Awesome. Curious, how long did the project take? Looks like at least 1,000 man hours.

The original owners ran out of fuel and were blown into a rocky shore with no power. (No fault of the boat) Must have had a heavy surf. Rolled the boat killed two little dogs and nearly killed the two passengers. They were air lifted to a hospital according to the original owners. The boat was sold to a guy in Illinois by the Insurance Co. He didn't do any work on it. He sold it a couple years later to me on E-Bay. I never kept track of hours it took to rebuild . It did take some time reading and learning the tricks to fiberglass. It was kinda fun rebuilding it. Seeing it take shape was a joy. I'm still shocked that I have one in the driveway. Its cool. Im sure all C-Dory owners find themselves admiring thier boat from time to time.

Did you ever learn the location? If a rocky shore, probably not near the Columbia River. _________________ Dave Kruger

It was off the coast of Origon State. The lady I spoke with told me, but I cant recall the location. She did say they took the insurance money and purchased a other 22' Cruiser.
