Or, you just might see a tan 22 CD parked in Montgomery . . . My Aunt is in a nursing home there and the cousins and I are trying to get up a trip to see her. After that I'd head up to Arkansas (Mountain Home) or to Lake Lanier, whichever had the best weather at the time. Might also simply park the boat at Buena Vista, Ga and use it for a hunt cabin if neither of those options work out (done that before and it's an excellent portable hunting cabin).
One boat -- many uses . . . |

Sawdust, I am with you...I like it slow...and the 88hp Evinrude will be replaced with a 70nish hp E-Tech in a few years. I know it is a hassle to have to stop the E-Tech every half hour to let out gas but that is the price we won't have to pay...at the pumps.

Mike,
Great looking boat and even better looking Papillon. Great name for the boat.
I get jumped on often, but I like to cruise and gawk. A skipper up here has a 22 Cruiser (fairly heavy) with a 50 Honda. He claims a top of 17 knots, and nice easy cruise of 12-13. Fits my age and style!!
Know your Naples and area well -- in another life time was stationed at McDill AFB (4 years) and cruised your area looking for Tarpon. Memories are made of things like this, eh?
Hope you are hurricane-proof. My old WWII bud had to move to St. Pete while they rebuilt his house.
Cheers,

I got the boat its subject to sea trial and eng look see ,for my protection .but I think its a done deal Ive looked at trl Im going with a tandem axle disc brakes up front does anyone know what the beam at the bottom of the boat is? looking at a trl width of 100 in. should be plenty . also it has a 100 ft of anchor chain I still dont know what size chain . The eng is still up for grabs I have some extra props from a f115 yami the Honda dealer said the pin setup might not fit new honda's so I might just go with a yami 90 hp . Ive thought about putting my f115 on her but I dont want to have an insurance problem because boat is rated to100hp . im so excited I keep rambling on is this a c-dory sickness or what |

Congratulations! I know all about the C-Dory sickness, I've had it since the moment we orded our boat last January. Regarding repowering, I would definitely go with a 90 if you don't want to exceed the 100 hp limit. I'm trading up to a 90 next month from a 70, which ran great and is a fine engine. I just wanted the extra torque and displacement the Suzuki 90 offers. As for the beam, if you look at the factory page, it shows the beam as 7'9" (93"). I think you have room to spare.
Good luck and welcome to the C-Dory club! Peter |

Mike,
I agree with Dusty, I like the name and especially the color of your new boat. They don't make that sky blue anymore, it's nice!

Mike,
You might check with C-Dory -- think the new placard is for 115 hp but not sure. Heard it at the next stall in the rest room, so it ain't been verified!!

C-Dancer: Thanks for telling me the color name. I noticed it didn't appear as a color choice anymore and had not seen it on any of the boats in the Photo Albums. My wife pointed out to me it matched the interior of our 13' Boston Whaler Sport. Since I had found a color match to the BW color of the 70 model Whalers was Pettit's Bikini Blue I was happy to call it that. Now Sky Blue sounds nice too.
Jennykatz: Naples, Florida Hi there neighbor....Let me know when you get your boat in the water and we can cruise the Naples Yatchie Club and galk at the 19' Angler docked there. Did you buy your boat locally? I only know of two C-Dorys in Naples till now. If you got yours out of town, then we now have four. What model did you get?
Dusty: Thanks for the good words. |
