We have confirmed dates from the port now.
May 20, 21, and 22 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
We added Friday to the reservation because so many boats show up early each year. Similar logistics to last year including lots of dock space, Friday restaurant dinner, and Saturday potluck of course. More details to follow soon.

Joyce and I plan to be there. Our 35th wedding anniversary is on Monday the 23rd, so we may go to a restaurant on the Saturday evening for our anniversary dinner. We definitely plan on catching some prawns on Sat and Sunday while we are there. We will also be there the week before to go shrimping so we'll have some good spots scouted out prior to the CBGT (probably the same spot we did well at last year).

I've heard this is the event to attend, so I would like to come if I can work my schedule out.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good boat launch near the southern end of Vancouver Island, maybe around Duncan or Chemanius? I need a dock because I launch by myself.

We will be happy to have you there of course but I can't offer any personal and recent experience on a south island launch point. I know some BC brats have launched at Sidney but I will let some of them provide details and current info. South Island launch sites anyone?
