Cabin slide windows, used silicone spray to help windows slide easier. Went to clean windows with windex, what a messy film is on them. Unless it was from removing a decal with WD-40. Im guessing somehow that spray got on windows. Tried all kinds of cleaners to get that film off there. Any good ideas that cuts thru that grime? It took me 35 minutes of using elbow grease to get one side clear. I used w-d 40 ,goo be gone, window decal remover. Never had a harder time cleaning a window. Also whats a good cleaner for the white exterior of boat, get black streaks out?

RV stores have "Black Streak remover". I believe that Brite star also makes a "Black Streak remover"...Purple Power, Magic Eraser works, Also DriWash. It is a major issue with RV's

As far as windows cleaning-"amaz" It is mainly a water spot/steak remover, but should work on the silicone spray.

Actually BKF is not non abrasive,--it is micro abrasive. Main ingredient is oxalic acid. It is great for removing rust stains. You can polish metals, (removing some of the surface metal, such as SS). If you make too thick of a paste, it will dull fiberglass, and some other materials. Best used as a paste for rust stains (and a few other similar stains)--great product basically the same (with some new side lines since 1892).

Any good rubbing compound/ cleaner wax will also remove black streak--but at times it can a lot more work, than some of the other materials.

Thanks still not sure what caused the film on inside windows, been doing a lot of cleaning of entire boat.Maybee I grabed a paper towel with something that shouldn't be on glass? The cabin windows are tinted also,or maybe something sprayed on window tracks used several different things this season, first time cleaning windows all year. Was out there 30 minutes today on driver side only got about half of it off, will try vinegar to cut it. Bought a buffer and turtle waxed entire hull. Nice to have a clean boat.
